Moving along

I have been attending a Bible study and reading a Lent devotional, and there is so much good stuff that I will have to share some of that too!

"I solemnly assure you, you shall see the sky opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the son of man" John 1:51

Soon after Philip and Nathanael meet Jesus, He is already giving reference to Heaven and God's angels. Sometimes I wish God would give the people of today a true glimpse of heaven. Sometimes it is so difficult to convince others that God is REAL.

I know IT and believe it in my heart. But how do we convey what is in our hearts to help other people gain faith? I guess I just need to pray some more for God to help me to bring others to God.

Now some things from my devotional:
In the letter to the Romans (12:2), Paul says, "Do not model yourselves on the behavior of the world around you, but let your behavior change, modeled by your new mind."

AND

In the second letter to the Corinthians, Paul says,
"And we, with our unveiled faces reflecting like mirrors the brightness of the Lord, all grew brighter and brighter as we are changed into the image that we reflect; this is the work of the Lord who is Spirit." (II COR. 3:18)

We are to change as Jesus changed, to allow his spirit to burn within us with the brightness that was in him, a brightness that shines through in our LOVE, in our SMILE, in our FORGIVENESS, in our UNDERSTANDING. (that was directly from my Lenten booklet)

A tough thing to do, is CHANGE ourselves. I have had a difficult time changing things that I have grown accustomed to in my life. Each day I want to try to please God. I know of a few things I need to work on ............... and will continue to do so.
